Job Description:

The role holder will be responsible for a number of high value transactions, bilateral or syndicated, from ‘cradle to grave’.  The Lending Operations department are the main point of contact for all queries relating to a portfolio of transactions, liaising with other bank teams, internal clients as well overseeing legal aspects. The team reviews MI on a daily basis, to ensure fees, interest and repayments are billed and collected as appropriate and allocated to the relevant lender.

Skills and experience needed (essential or preferred):

  • Significant experience in either financial service or accountancy
  • Track record in Operations/Audit
  • Knowledge of Payments, Reconciliation, ACBS, LIQ and Facility Agreements
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Experience of working within a transactional environment.
  • Strong decision making skills
  • Problem solving and reconciliations experience.
  • Working within a strong control framework

Job Description:

The role holder will be responsible for the full credit lifecycle of both consumer and retailers, from origination, underwriting, account management and arrears management.  Additional responsibilities will include the build of a suite of credit offerings, management of 3rd party collections teams and ownership of any debt sale relationships.

  • Proven background in managing the credit lifecycle
  • Expert knowledge of the Consumer Credit Act and the FCA

Job Description: 
 
The role holder will be responsible for overseeing the bank’s credit, including risk appetite, policies, procedures and internal controls. There will be a personal discretionary authority attached to the role to be used to make credit decisions as well as providing second line oversight for colleagues where appropriate. The role includes responsibility of the operation of the banks Credit Committee, as well as oversight and control of a number of other functions including credit related processes, risk appetite and credit and risk related training.
 
Skills and experience needed (essential or preferred): Our ideal candidate will have:
  • Minimum 7 years commercial lending credit underwriting experience
  • Excellent credit risk analysis skills as well as a good awareness of the broader risk categories such as operational, financial crime and conduct risk.
  • Thorough understanding of the credit cycles in relation to general business
  • A good understanding of debt recovery and realisation of security
  • Exposure to some of the following:  charities, not for profit, healthcare, social housing and faith-based organisations.
