What is credit risk job?
Credit analysts (a.k.a. credit risk analysts) are tasked with assessing and evaluating the risk of companies making financial loans proposals to retail and commercial customers.
What is the role of credit risk analyst?
A credit analyst reviews and assesses the financial history of a person or company to determine if they are a good candidate for a loan. In other words, credit analysts determine the risk of default to the bank or lender.
What is the difference between credit analyst and credit risk analyst?
Credit analysts are typically employed by commercial and investment banks, credit card issuing institutions, credit rating agencies, and investment companies. Credit analysts are often called credit risk analysts because credit analysis is a specialised area of financial risk analysis.
