Campbell & Fletcher Recruitment are extremely proud to have signed and committed to actions to support the Women in Finance Charter. As an all-female company, closing the gender diversity gap is of high importance to us. As such, we have set out a number of internal and external targets to play our part in this movement.

  • Commits firms to supporting the progression of women into senior roles in the financial services sector by focusing on the executive pipeline and the mid tier level;
  • Recognises the diversity of the sector and that firms will have different starting points – each firm should therefore set its own targets and implement the right strategy for their organisation;
  • Requires firms to publicly report on progress to deliver against these internal targets to support the transparency and accountability needed to drive change.

As of July 2019, we have 100% female representation in our senior management team. Our target is to maintain this figure and by January 2021, we aim to have promoted at least one of our female employees into senior management.

We intend to do this by providing the correct training, mentoring and empowerment to enable them to take on a senior role within our organisation. Moreover, we have set aside necessary budgets for additional training and qualifications to support this aim.

At Campbell & Fletcher Recruitment we recognise that that’s not enough, so we have also set a number of additional targets for external activities and we will monitor our performance against these targets and publish our results regularly; Our latest results are listed below.

We will commit to providing clients with a diverse shortlist of candidates and aim for at least 30% of applicants to be female.

As at 1st September 2020 – we are currently delivering 34% Female candidates as part of a diverse shortlist – therefore meeting our commitment to Women In Finance Charter.

We will educate our new and existing clients about the importance of gender diversity, the need to close the gender pay gap and the Women in Finance Charter

As at 1st September 2020 – our team of consultants are still committed to providing advice to both new and existing clients.

We will set up and run a half yearly Women in Business networking event beginning January 2020 to share and discuss ideas for improving gender diversity.

As at 1st September 2020 – due to the Covid-19 Pandemic it was not possible to run this networking event, however we have committed to running a series of webinars during Q4 2020 which are designed to inform on unconscious bias when recruiting.

We will empower women to apply for jobs they may not have been confident enough to apply for by providing necessary and relevant advice and guidance during the recruitment process.

As at 1st September 2020 – we have committed to support the Smart Works charity during 2020. Smart Works are a charity which assists women from a range of different backgrounds and age groups back into employment by providing one-to-one interview coaching and interview-appropriate clothing and accessories.

We will educate our company’s wider network of the importance of gender diversity and equality in via our social media channels and other platforms.

As at 1st September 2020 – we have continued throughout the year to promote the issues of Gender Diversity and equality across all our external communication channels including social media and printed media.

We are passionate about supporting women to fulfil their potential in the work place and in addition to our commitment to the Women in Finance Charter, for 2020 will be supporting SmartWorks, a charity which assists women from a range of different backgrounds and age groups back into employment by providing one-to-one interview coaching and interview-appropriate clothing and accessories.
