Job Description

The role of Assistant Portfolio Executive is to ensure that the highest level of portfolio and administrative support for all aspects of Portfolio activity are carried out efficiently and professionally. You will be required provide specialist operational support in the delivery of the department’s on-going development and day-to-day functions.  The ideal candidate will need to build close working relationships internally as well as having a comprehensive understanding of external customer requirements, both portfolio customers and stakeholders. This is key in ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining a strong reputation in the marketplace. You will have well developed interpersonal and problem solving ability, strong financial technical skills, attention to detail and a proactive, hands on approach are also essential prerequisites for this role.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will assist in the management of the portfolio investments made by any part of the Bank. Through proactive monitoring of portfolio investments, you will seek to minimise the risk of financial loss and maximise the profit from the Bank.  You will need to build close working relationships internally and with external business introducers and service providers to increase their market knowledge and ability to provide added value to portfolio clients. A comprehensive understanding of the portfolio will be maintained through routine monitoring and contact. Where investments have been identified as either being at risk or having significant growth potential make suitable cross references to the most appropriate portfolio team.

The role holder will be responsible for leading a team of Assistant Relationship Managers in provision of lending to property developers, predominantly development finance. The team are responsible for the delivery of the end-to-end legal process. This includes issuing facility letters, instructing valuers, releasing funds and the taking of security.

Skills and Experience needed (essential or preferred) :-

  • Preferably someone with experience of working in a legal environment
  • Leadership experience.
  • Development Finance experience.
  • Commercial banking experience.
